Many number owners choose to have their Freephone or Premium rate number forwarded to a phone on which they also receive other calls, such as their mobile phone or general office line for example. In these cases it can be useful to know whether the caller has dialled your service number or your regular number before answering the call.
That is where the Whisper feature comes in. Once you have activated this feature, at the beginning of each call you answer you will hear a short, clear tone if that call is made via your Freephone or premium rate number.
Pick your own tone
Call Factory offers you a choice of 6 different Whisper tones. You can preview and select your Whisper tone on the Number Settings page of our online control panel.
Alternatively, you can send us an audio file with your own announcement tone or text.
Simple and at no extra charge
Call Factory lets you know before the conversation begins whether a caller has dialled your Freephone of Premium rate number, so you can provide your callers with the perfect service.
