Why choose a freephone number?
A free-to-call servicenumber is a customer friendly, national telephone number that gives your work activities a professional appearance and radiates a projects an image of an organisation that invests in its customer contact.
A freephone number is used by small and large companies for many purposes, from customer service to information provision and sales.
How does it work?
A service number is a virtual number that is forwarded to one or more regular telephone numbers. These numbers are also called ring-to numbers. As the owner of the servicenumber, you can select these ring-to numbers yourself and they can be changed at any given moment.
Callers of a freephone number are forwarded to a ring-to number of your choice by means of our Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. The ring-to number could be your regular home phone number or that in your office, but also your mobile phone. Phone companies might charge extra fees for redirecting to a mobile number.
In some countries telephone companies also charge extra costs when someone calls a Freephone number from a mobile phone. Therefore, the Call Factory offers servicenumber owners the option to block calls from mobile numbers.
You can read more about this topic on the How does it work page.
With your service number you can get the same extras that are also available for premium-rate numbers, such as a whisper tone, real-time statistics, Voice2email, Virtual receptionist or other flexible call routing such as a telephone carousel. All these extras are included in your Call Factory subscription.
